The boxes are made of aluminum cases, which are custom-made and manufactured by the market world leader. The boxes are designed to efficiently utilize the space and protect all the components inside the box during data-capture and any shocks during the movement of the boxes. Every box is identified by a unique number which is configured inside the data-capture software to reflect the physical number allocated for the box when the document is printed.
In the case of border-pass issuing, FABIS can also be used to verify the authenticity of the pass-holder using the biometric data stored during the capture of the fingerprint, using both live captures as well as directly from the presented card. This added functionality allow for a stricter and safer border control.
